In this session, participants were asked to bring along a wrapped ‘Secret Santa’ present which symbolized for them the theme of ‘forgetting Christmas’. We gathered around the only Christmas tree to be found in Glasgow in July (purchased from the back stores of a pound shop the week before!) and distributed and opened the presents. As each present was opened, the person opening it said why they thought it said something about ‘forgetting Christmas’. Then, the person who brought the present explained their reasons for bringing that ‘gift’. See below some of our ‘Secret Santa’ gifts:
